This past week we talked about faith as a verb at Riverside where I’m blessed to preach each week. This is one of my favorite songs when I think about what it means to be a person of faith. It’s really a simple prayer for God to give me faith & help me live into this life of faith He’s calling me & all of us into. It’s faith as a verb. Moving from the idea of faith to the activity of faith. God, Give me faith. And may my life reflect that faith in You.
Give Me Faith
by Elevation Worship
I need you to soften my heart
To break me apart
I need you to open my eyes
To see that You’re shaping my life
All I am,
I surrender
Give me faith to trust what you say
That you’re good and your love is great
I’m broken inside, I give you my life
I need you to soften my heart
To break me apart
I need you pierce through the dark
And cleanse every part of me
Give me faith to trust what you say
That you’re good and your love is great
I’m broken inside, I give you my life
I may be weak
Your spirit strong in me
My flesh may fail
My God you never will
My God you never will
